CURATORS SELECTION

These works are inspired by High Country Weather, the looming shadows, shards of light and sense of awe when we find ourselves when in mercy of the elements.

Thick cotton rag paper, is punctured, stitched and then polished, like old horse tack. Pigment is embedded in the surface, which replicates ancient ceramics. In this way the works suggests the tools we deem essential whilst traversing the landscape. Or is what we need already within us?
